5This tool an absolute MUSTJan 13, 2013
By Randy Nielsen
I owned a small marine repair shop for about 10 yrs & we were using a slide hammer to remove gimble bearings. I felt I could'nt justify the cost of mercs version of this tool. I'm glad I found this one here, for the price this tool is worth it's weight in gold. I can't imagine pulling a gimble bearing without it! Twin engine boat, r&r both bearings 30 minutes if that. Thanks

I learn a lot each time I change out gimble bearings. This tool is a must for pulling the gimble bearing. Just need a screw on adapter to install bearing?

Removed seized gimbal bearing easily. I have tried various other tools and this is easily the best one that I have used.

5Now THIS is how it's done!!!Sep 06, 2013
By Michael Kelly Jr.
Tried this puller as a last resort after getting absolutely nowhere with two different slide hammers (#3 & #5) and BANG.....job is done. After seeing how stuck my gimbal bearing really was (seriously contemplated engine removal to hit it from the other side), I'm now convinced there is NO other way to even consider gimbal bearing removal. Thanks Heartland!!!
